Sustainability Task Force

President's Advisory Task Force on Sustainability

In October 2007, President David B. Ashley appointed 11 members to the President's Advisory Task Force on Sustainability. The task force is chaired by Dr. David Hassenzahl, chairman of the Environmental Studies Department. The purpose of the task force is to promote environmental management and sustainable development at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and recommend specific activities to the president that will allow UNLV to appropriately address sustainability issues for the future. The task force is also charged with helping the university comply with the Nevada System of Higher Education's Energy and Sustainability Policy. The task force completed its activities on June 30, 2008, and submitted a report to President Ashley.
